Bantamweight Jeff Curran is returning to the UFC more than seven years after his Octagon debut, as ?Big Frog? has signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion, according to MMAjunkie.
Curran is expected to return against fellow former WEC contender Scott Jorgensen at UFC 137 on October 29 in Las Vegas.
Curran (33-13-1) lost his lone UFC bout to Matt Serra in 2004, but won 15 of his next 16 to challenge Urijah Faber for the WEC featherweight title in 2007. After losing to Faber as well as his next three fights, Curran rebounded to win four of his last five.
Jorgensen (12-4) scored a first-round KO of Ken Stone in his UFC debut in June after coming up short against bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz in December.
