Jon Jones Responds to Spying Accusations

UFC Light Heavyweight Jon Jones

On Monday, Quinton ?Rampage? Jackson claimed he had a rat in his training camp that was relaying information to Jon Jones. Although he never accused Jones of planting the snitch himself, he suggested it may have been Jones? manager, Malki Kawa, that masterminded the scheme.

Kawa vehemently denied any wrongdoing, and today, the reigning light heavyweight champion took to his Twitter and did the same.

?@Rampage4realJust so you know, I?m not a person who looks for shortcuts in life. Unlike you, MMA is not something I do because of money,? Jones tweeted. ?It?s a way of life for me and I would never disrespect the integrity of that. I have way more faith in myself, as well as, respect for the art of fighting to ever stoop that low, thats just bad karma.

?Believe me or not, I?ve said my part.. hoping you have a safe and healthy finish to your camp..#Respect?

Last week, Rampage had a hunch that someone was spying on him. He proceeded to concoct a story that his hand was injured, and just hours after revealing the top secret info to his training partners, UFC matchmaker Joe Silva was on the horn with Rampage?s manager to confirm the news.

Anthony McGann assured Silva that his client was healthy, but asked where he had heard the fictitious tale. Silva said he received a call from Kawa.

Rampage believes he?s discovered who has been spilling the beans. He has since handled the matter privately, but won?t publicly put the rat on blast.

Jones defends his throne against Rampage at UFC 135 inside the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. The 205-pounders will headline the September 24th pay-per-view broadcast.
